In most of the urban areas, people are used to live in large flats. Advantages and disadvantages that are included when living in flats will be discusses in this essay.
On one hand, there are a lot of problems solved with the use of flats and apartments for accommodation which could not be solved without. The lack of space within most areas is in the rise and it has become a major crisis in urban areas, which is why flats and apartments are used to establish ava large sum of people. If flats and apartments were not provided, there can be a direct impact on the employment rate within cities since employees will find it difficult to find places to accommodate.
On the other hand, there are a lot of negative impacts in the use of flats and apartments on the people who use them. Flats include a lot of people accommodated which there will be a lot of competition for space which can cause problems within the community. The need for personal space will be invaded since there is a huge crowd within an apartment. With the increase number of people, hygiene issues will also arise which won’t be an easy topic to address. Due to these hygiene issues, health problems and diseases can also circulate within the community. With all these increasing problems, the number of criminal activity is also on the rise.
In conclusion, there are advantages as well as disadvantages in the use of apartments for accommodation in urban areas. In my opinion, the number of disadvantages outweigh the number of advantages that people have to face.
