Different parts of the world inspire individuals to get involved in work while they continue their studies and other do not agree on the process. In my opinion, it is better to allow students to get involved in jobs since it would add more experience.
On one hand, getting involved in temporary work can have a negative impact on the youth. Getting exposed to different work experience and job roles can distract them from their studies and regular work routines and behaviors. The chances of student continuing with the same job role without continuing with their studies is high. According to a research by the Times magazine, more than 45% of students continue with their jobs neglecting their studies or discontinuing them.
On the other hand, temporary jobs can have a huge positive impact on individuals with the experience they get to have. Students and teenagers get a change to understand what it is like to get involved in work and how hard it is to earn for one’s self. If teenagers are more into developing their businesses and skills, rather than going for higher education, this again can be a turning point and a helping hand as well in their lives, since they can decide what path to follow.
In my opinion, it is always better to get involved in some temporary job role for individuals since it will be important for them in the long run as well as developing their soft skills. Even though there is a risk of teenagers neglecting studies and continuing with their work, most of them will be following their passion which is a good thing.
In conclusion, even though there are positive as well as negative effects in participating temporary work, it is believed my most that teenagers will choose the path the prefer. So, a student willing to continue their tertiary education will never end with temporary work and vise versa. In my opinion it is always good to get involves in some additional work allowing the development of soft skills and additional experience.
